We were talking..

She said you don't like my writings..

I said I do..

She said you don't read them..you are looking for that thing, only..

I said you are wrong..

I read everything..I read between the lines..

Your typical Saudi friend does read..

He sure does..

    فأقول له: أكون من تريدني أن أكون
    يقول لي بصوت حزين:
    كوني حبيبتي التي أحببتها ذات يوم, و كوني أمى التي بكيت في أحضانها ذات يوم, و كوني رفيقة دربي, و منبعحزني و فرحي.

    نظرت اليه و رأيت فيه ضعفي, و لم أجد فيه قوتي, يحبني و لا يحبني, و يسألني من أكون!
    أقتربت اليه و همست:
    أنا امرأة عاشت ما بين اليوم و الغد, و ليس اليوم و الأمس.أرى في نفسي مالا تستطيع أنت أن تراه.
    أنظر الى أناملي, كم صغيرة هي و جميلة, مسحت دمعتي, و ارتبكت لفرحي, و استقر بين أحضانها قلمي, و كتبت كلماتي فوق الرمال. لمست بها أجمل انسان, و أتعست بها حياة انسان.
    بأناملي أبحث بين طيات أوراقي عن رجل يسافر معي الى أعماق البحر, و يعانق معي ألذ السحب فيحتويني و يرضيني. رجل يكتب معي على أوراق حياتي الذهبية عن قصتي و قصته, عن حبي و حبه و عن عذابي و عذابه.
    رجل أعلم أني لن أجده الا بين كلماتي و في أحلامي.
    فالان أسألك أنت أيها الرجل,أنت من تكون لتسألني أنا من أكون؟

    Thank you for your post Ahmad, it really touched me.. I wrote this because I know you are one of the people who enjoys my Arabic writing.
